In this age of Instagram, selfies, and profile photos I prefer the tactile qualities of a photograph. I prefer textures, emotion, perspectives. I prefer photos that are printed to photos that sit in digital purgatory. Coming from a background in film photography, this isn’t surprising.
My objective with each session is to a) have fun and b) create art. My goal is to create photographs which make the viewer step back and catch their breath. Become thoughtful. And whether working on a portrait, a commercial assignment, or a personal project there is no reason why this goal cannot hold true.
I am a Colorado-based photographer with over 30 years of experience in the photographic industry, both in creation and production. In addition to commercial and portrait photography, I am an artist with Edge Gallery in the 40 West Arts District of Denver.
